Cricut Vase Gift

It was kind of hard to photograph. But it looked really cool in person.

The process of making this gift was rather simple. I got an old glass vase at goodwill/salvation army washed it up and filled it with the recipient's favorite candies. Next I made several sayings and shapes using Wild Card and a few other cartridges. I attached them vigorously to BBQ skewers with tape ( I did cut off the pointed end of the BBQ skewers, so the candies would not get stabbed). Next I stuck the sticks in the vase and added some twisted pipe cleaners to make it look fuller, and TA DA awesome gift.

• 12x12 Yellow Pearl or Glitter

• 12x6 Baby Pattern

• 3x5 Blue

• 3x5 Pink

• 3x5 Green

• 1x6 Teal

Extra Materials:

• 15x¾ Yellow Ribbon

• Purple Glitter Glue:

Cricut Sizes and Shapes Needed: Wild Card

• 6 in Envelope for “Carriage Card” (Yellow)

• 6 in New Arrival Phrase (Yellow)

• 6 in Carriage Card (Baby Pattern) (DONE BaCKWaRDS!)*

• 6 in Carriage (Purple)

• 1½ in Lettering of Parents Names on Envelope (Purple)

• Trace Rectangle of card (For Back of Card) (Purple)

• 8 in Baby Blessings Phrase (Teal)

• 3 in Rattles(2) (Pink and Blue)

• 3 in Duck Families(2) (Pink and Blue)

• Trace Carriage legs (green)

Directions:

1. Cut out all pieces in the order specified above.

*Carriage card: make sure to cut out so the design side will be the inside of your card, this means to turn the pretty side face down (generally) if double sided put desired side face down or if same per side do not worry about it.

2. There is no carriage legs option so I opted to trace and cut out rather than waste a whole card, but you can do that and then use the rectangle as the back of your card so you do not have to trace at all.

3. Cut apart duck family as desired to create the recipient’s family. I traced a small white duck because the new baby’s sex is still unknown. You could also cut out a single white duck at ½ or ¾ in, I think it would be closer to the ½ in but I have not tried it. Use the left over small ducks to decorate back of card.

4. The carriage itself looked rather plain to me so I just glitter glued the perimeter with purple because it color coordinated. I also tried doing the same dot to dot design on the legs with green but it was too much so I wiped it off.

5. For the lettering on the envelope I used the font that comes with Wild Card.
